Meet Our Team

Nadia Mertens - Osteopath

B.Sci.(Clin.Sci.), M.H.Sci.(Osteo.)

I am an osteopath, and I love my work!  Helping people move and feel better, assisting them to identify the cause(s) of their complaint and work towards resolving these to improve their quality of life, brings me much satisfaction.

My healthy appetite to continually grow and develop as a practitioner has guided me to train in visceral manipulation with the Barral Institute. This path has formed the cornerstone of my professional development, largely influencing the way that I work.

In addition to visceral manipulation, other osteopathic techniques I use include myofascial release, strain-counterstrain, functional release, joint mobilisation, and craniosacral therapy. By combining osteopathic treatment with a home management plan and healthy lifestyle choices, my clients are supported in achieving a healthy, active, pain free and enjoyable life.

Outside of osteopathy I am a mother of two beautiful girls, a wife to an awesome husband, an instructor for RockTape Australia; I love spending time with my family, walking my dog, playing floorball, and swimming.

Haylee Nguyen - Osteopath

B.H.Sci., B.App.Sci.(Osteo.)

Recently completing my degree at RMIT University in Melbourne, I am excited to move back to my home state where the sun shines a little longer, family is closer and to help a new community as an Osteopath. Osteopathy really drew me in, as it uses aspects from multiple healthcare modalities and combines it into one. Meaning a wide range of treatment approaches available to help different patient presentations.

I believe there are multiple puzzle pieces that make up the presentation in front of me. That’s why I may communicate about your personal life, social life, and work environment, alongside observe what may be happening anatomically, to provide an individualised treatment. This may include a combination of patient education, rehabilitation, direct and indirect techniques. I have completed further training in dry needling and cupping which can be used in treatment, and clinical Pilates, which can be incorporated in rehabilitation exercises.

Outside of work, I like to fill my cup by spending quality time with family and friends, enjoying nature, listening to music and podcasts, travelling, and trying different cuisines.

I’m really excited to join the Sana team and to help the Mount Hawthorn and surrounding communities move freer and feel better.

Aurelia Grezio - Manual Therapist

Dip. Remedial Massage

I am an Italian-trained osteopath currently practising in Australia as a manual therapist while awaiting the documentation required to apply for registration with AHPRA. In the meantime, I work within the scope of remedial therapy, applying soft tissue and manual skills accrued over more than a decade of training and professional development across Europe and the United States.

My background in healthcare began as an occupational therapist, but personal health challenges led me to discover osteopathy. I connected with its philosophy straight away and chose to pursue it as a way of working more meaningfully with people.

I completed my osteopathic studies in Rome, with further training in craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, and neural manipulation, which continue to inform my clinical approach.

In my clinical work, I integrate musculoskeletal techniques such as trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques (MET), functional release, and manual articular approaches, alongside visceral and neural manipulation and craniosacral therapy. I aim to tailor each treatment to the individual, supporting the body’s ability to restore balance and function.

I am deeply interested in the interconnectedness of the human body, both within itself and in relation to the environment. Drawing on my osteopathic background, I maintain a holistic approach to care, aiming to identify and address the underlying causes of dysfunction rather than focusing solely on symptoms.

I continue to further my studies, particularly through the Barral Institute, with a growing interest in the role of the visceral and neural systems in health and recovery.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy jazz music and have a strong interest in cooking and culinary traditions from around the world.

Starting at Sana Osteopathy on April 28, 2026.
